Our Neighbourhood

Margaret River (known as Margs to the locals) is truly an amazing destination with so much to see and do.  Having travelled here from Singapore a few times on holidays, we fell in love with Margaret River’s charm, diversity and the energy we feel simply by being here.  It’s no wonder it’s been voted the No 1 place to visit in Asia Pacific by acclaimed travel publication Lonely Planet (2019). But be warned…..once you’ve had a taste, you will come back again…and again…and again.

Many of our guests choose to make our place their base in Margs.  We’re located just 3 minutes from town, 10 minutes from white sand beaches, and surrounded by world class wineries such as Voyager Estate, Leeuwin Estate, Cape Mentelle and Xanadu.  The best part is the only neighbours we have are those you can drink!

Food is another feature of the region and dining is abundant especially when travelling with families. With 3 kids of our own, we often seek out dining options where we can eat and the kids who refuse to sit at the table can run around while we can eat and talk like adults should. Download our family friendly dining options PDF at the bottom of the page.

There’s much more to do in Margaret River than many travellers realise, so having a rough plan can be useful to make the most of your time here.  Our guests usually start and finish their day making the most of our facilities, bushwalks or just ‘feeling the bush’, then head out for the day, occasionally popping back when a very young one (or even older one) needs a nap.
