Whether you’re travelling as a couple, a family or a solo traveller, finding the right environment and facilities is key for great stay. With a state forest for a neighbour and 12 acres of bush gardens, there’s plenty of space to feel you’re away from it all. We find most of our guests tend to start and finish their days making the most of our facilities, whether it’s bushwalking, or watching your kids meet other kids in the playground for playtime.
The kids playground is located in the brick cottage garden. The focus is on imaginative play, though there is a slide to bring out the inner adrenaline junkie.
The playground is suitable for infants up to 10 somethings or maybe even early teens.
Story stone art kit is available for children over 7ish
Heated Indoor Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is heated and available year round
Between April and October we use a bespoke pool heater to reach 28 degrees
Between November and March we use a solar heating panel to reach 22-24 degrees
The pool is unsupervised and therefore children need to be accompanied by an adult that can swim
Pool towels are not provided and if you’re swimming in winter, we recommend a bringing robe or large towel for when you step out
There is a pool table, table tennis table and a foosball, suitable for older children and adults
The games room is located with the indoor swimming pool and is open 10am to 8pm daily.
Nature, Bush & Cycle Trails
The property connects with the Wadandi Track (previously known as the Rails to Trails)
Guests can run, walk, jog, saunter or cycle on trail into town, for Yahava Coffee and up to 20km in each direction.
Perfect for children or those who wish to walk slowly and embrace nature, there is a “Discovery” forest trail (500m)

Perfect for older children, there is a basketball hoop and balls available.
On the playcourt, there are Bocci balls and soccer balls to kick around the court.
The Firepit (May-Nov) “The Bush Telly”
The firepit is the ‘spiritual’ heart of the property. and designed and hand-made locally.
It’s the perfect place for adults to unwind after touring, and for kids who want to wind up with marshmallows.
The firepit is prepared and typically lit Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in Winter around 5pm (or on request)
Marshmallows & toasting forks are available, though if you have specific tastes or needs, please BYOMM (bring your own marshmallow)
The firepit is communal, so be prepared to be social and we encourage guests to find sticks, woo and bark to keep it burning.
There is a strict fire ban between Nov and May during which time the firepit will be unavailable for fire use.
There is a gas BBQ available for general use located close to the pool house
There are 2 portable gas BBQs and 1 charcoal BBQ available which can be delivered to your cottage or the garden nearby (can be booked in advance)
