We recognise that different travellers have different priorities when it comes to selecting their accommodation, so we have designed our room types to cater for those needs. The accommodation part can essentially be put into 3 categories, affectionately known as the “Timbers”, “Bricks” and Gumnut. You’ll be able to see all the bedding configuration options on the room descriptions, though the question is which cottage is right for your stay?
Our cottages are ready for your stay with the following amenities:
Fully equipped kitchens, including stove, oven, kitchenware including sharp knives!
Reverse cycle air conditioner, oil heaters and electric blankets (Superior & Gumnut)
A selection of high chairs, cots, changing mats and step stools are available, please book
Wifi is not currently available in our cottages, though there is strong 4G reception with Telstra. For guests who have a need to be online, we have a mobile wifi device available, and there’s free wifi at the main building and comfy seats to hang out on
Facing towards the west, the Timber cottages enjoy the late afternoon sun, a private bush outlook, and wonderful variety of birdlife. The homey cottages have a balcony with a pair of comfy outdoor butterfly chairs, as well as an indoor living area with a retro fire. Recently renovated, there is a kitchen with full size fridge, four hob gas stove, oven and a bathroom with combined shower, toilet and washing machine.
Our recommended guests for the Timber Cottages would be for either couples seeking privacy (superior 1 bedroom), larger families (2 adults, 3+children) or a small group of friends/colleagues travelling together. Perfect for retreats!
Superior 1 Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed
Standard 2 Bedroom: Either 1 Double Bed and 4 Bunk Beds or 1 Double Bed and 1 Queen Bed
Mud Brick Cottages (Superior)
Facing towards the neighbours fields, the bush and our play spaces, the brick cottages are built in such a way that it leaves you with a community feel. The cottages themselves have a balcony overlooking the gardens and fields with kangaroos, as well as a well equipped kitchen/living area and combined bathroom with washing machine. The cottages were renovated in 2019, including the kitchen and all new bedding.
Our recommended guests for the Brick Cottages would be for younger families (2 adults, 2 or less children and/or infant), couples travelling together or longer stay guests, those adults seeking a little more comfort and those who prefer to cook. Given their community feel, these cottages are perfect for 2 or more extended families or friends who wish to travel together but maintain some private space!
Superior 2 Bedroom: Either 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds, or 2 Queen Beds
Gumnut is like a separate experience within our property, a separate home with the facilities of a hotel like development. It’s a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, former family home with its own private spaces including garden and outdoor area as well as an open plan kitchen, living and dining area with fireplace. The cottage underwent an extensive renovation in 2019, including 2 new bathrooms, all new bedding and bbq area.
Our recommended guests for Gumnut are groups of friends or extended family travelling together. It’s perfect for those travelling to the region with a purpose, such as bushwalkers, or riders/runners, or foodies, or for those visiting the region for an extended period of time. Given our serene bush location, and the bedding configuration, Gumnut isn’t really suitable for groups of singles, or the party crowd.
