Opening and Operating during Covid 19 times

Dear Friends,

 

It’s been a challenging last couple of months since Covid 19 arrived on our shores and forced some changes to the way we operate. Like you, we’ve been dealing with a constantly moving set of goal posts, though I am pleased to see some clarity of sorts in recent days.

 

As of May 18th, we’re permitted to open to guests travelling from within our state for recreational purposes. In order to make sure we’re at our best to welcome our WA guests, we’ve been working feverishly in the background to improve our guest experience.

Our highlights reel include:

  • Heating our pool – a new heat pump for our indoor pool which means we are the only hotel in Margaret River with an indoor heated pool (28 degrees)

  • Painting our Timber Cottages and many public areas – meaning a fresh, new look for our guests.

  • Garden clear out – whilst preserving our rustic bush garden environment, we’ve had a chance to do some cleaning out.

  • Improved water supply – we’ve installed a new water tank and high end filtration system to deliver you amazing drinking water.

  • Timber Cottage Kitchens and bathroom enhancement – underway and due for completion end June.

Whilst most of the noisy works will be done by 25 May, we still have some work in June to finish the jobs, including light painting and general clearing out.  This means we’re going to open slowly in the month of June and be ready to go full steam ahead for the July Western Australian school holidays from 4 July.

 

We will be open per the following:

  • 28 May until 8 June (long week end a week after)

  • Weekends in June (Thursday to Monday)

  • From 01 July onwards

How are we operating to mitigate risk of Covid 19?

  • Cottages are deep cleaned on departure and again on arrival – so twice before you stay

  • High use surfaces are disinfected regularly, including light switches, TV remotes etc

  • Self check in/out is available in case you wish to avoid any personal contact

  • All Cottages are self contained with individual air condition units.

  • Firepit and Animal Feeding experiences limited inline with state government regulations.
