Hi it’s Jules here! Resident photographer/ wife and co owner of the cottages. Please just read on for an update on my sessions and availability. I’m now FULLY booked for 2023 and I really can’t squeeze any more shoots in, so please please don’t send additional emails asking for me to do so! I don’t do more than 1 session per day in the late afternoon only (max 4 sessions in a week) to give the best experience, quality of images and also to enable me to be a good mum to our 3 young kids who also need attention and driving around to their various activities. Not forgetting the work we have on property with all the animals 😉. For 2024, I’m currently only taking bookings upto the end of April (last week or March is already booked up); May and June slots will be available from Dec / Jan. Apologies for recent delays in responding to emails, it’s a new term with a lot going on! It’s wildflower season so make sure you head into our pretty Discovery Walk, just out through the rusty back gate. The yellows were all in bloom a few weeks ago, now we’re onto the purples and it’s so beautiful in there. Just follow the link tags for a short stroll. 📷 @juleswhale

It’s been goat rescue central here over the past couple of weeks. Four years ago when we moved from Singapore we’d have no idea if someone turned up with a 2 hour old goat, but now, our 10 year old Bella knows all about goat poos, how to get them feeding when just a few hours old, how warm to heat the milk up, and often sleeps the first couple of nights on the floor next to them by our fire. Massive shout out to Andrew who has been dropping everything to help give these these little kids the best chance of survival, and spends many hours in the evening feeding them all and ensuring they’re safe and snug. So yes, our evenings back of house can be rather busy!!

Four years ago when we moved from Singapore we’d have no idea if someone turned up with a 2 hour old goat, but now, our 10 year old Bella knows all about goat poos, how to get them feeding when just a few hours old, how warm to heat the milk up, and often sleeps the first couple of nights on the floor next to them by our fire. Massive shout out to Andrew who has been dropping everything to help give these these little kids the best chance of survival, and spends many hours in the evening feeding them all and ensuring they’re safe and snug. So yes, our evenings back of house can be rather busy!!
Our little playground is where the cool kids hang out 😉. We say turn the tv off, pop the iPads away and let their imagination run wild in a safe environment.

Last week was a BIG week for us with a noisy shutdown for a few days whilst we carried out some major improvements. A huge thanks to everyone who contributed so much. Together we now have a new driveway, 2 new showers in the timber cottages (so all 4 timber cottages have been completed), new septic tanks and new drains at the brick cottages, a concrete pad has been laid ready for a new shed, a new native garden has been planted around Gumnut (with a huge amount of clearing done to achieve this!), plus plenty of block clearing and deep cleaning was achieved! We must add in a special thanks to Sadie the baby donkey who followed our more than handyman Roy around whilst he carried out some work, she was desperate to give raking a go.
